Kate is a graduate from UBC-Okanagan (2012) with a Bachelors degree in Human Kinetics and is now registered as a Kinesologist through BCAK (British Columbia Association of Kinesologists) She majored in Clinical Exercise Physiology, which sparked an interest in the benefits of exercise for those with Chronic Disease. During her University years she sought out opportunities to work with those who were living with Chronic Disease and is now involved in the delivery of a program known as Active Living with Chronic Disease.
Kate is a Certified Personal Trainer through CSEP and is working toward acquiring her Certified Exercise Specialist through ACSM as she expands her knowledge in the area of exercise and Chronic Disease.
Kate spent her childhood exploring all sorts of different sports and favored gymnastics and soccer. She has always been an avid athlete and now keeps active year round; hiking with her dog, soccer in the summer, indoor soccer and snowboarding in the winter
