Exercise can help prevent Diabetes

Another article in the local paper regarding the effects of Exercise on Diabetes.
Written by one of the local endocrinologist's here in Kelowna, the article was again reminding us of how exercise can be considered an intervention in the battle against Diabetes.
This year, according to the article, there has been an increase in the amount of studies into how exercise can prevent, and in some instances, can reverse some of the damage to blood vessels due to Diabetes. Listed as the most common barrier to increasing physical activity? Time!
Who has that time in their day to set aside for 'purposed' physical activity. Both the physician and Phoenix say, who DOESN'T have the time! Start small; park further away from the office; take the stairs not the elevator; walk when you can instead of drive, there are numerous ways to increase the amount of physical activity in our days!
