The Importance of a Support Network

John Donne (1572-1631) wrote, "No man is an island entire of itself," and certainly, when we refer to the importance of a Support Network, Donne was absolutely correct. 



When it comes to aspiring towards physical goals, whether your support network includes your training partner(s), your coach, your favorite equipment retailer, or your family, achieving physical goals is ALWAYS easier with the support of others.  Research tells us that we will be more committed in our endeavor if we know someone is waiting for us to participate with them. Even though sports can be divided into 'individual' or 'team based', all levels of sport benefit from the support of others. 



If you have always wanted to achieve a physical goal; overall fitness, a specific run goal, a specific health goal, start by researching the type of support network you are going to need to help you achieve that goal.  It will assist in your training, achievement and on-going maintenance.
